"Beyond sightings - into the heartbeat of the wild."

Just two places now available

With Ann Aveyard Photography a safari is never just a list of animals seen.

It's a journey of learning, inspiration, creativity, connection and discovery.

It's a gentle unravelling of the invisible line between you and the wilderness, until you are no longer a visitor but part of its heartbeat.

Two Iconic Locations

Experience two of Kenya's most iconic landscapes through the lens of your camera:

the majestic elephant kingdom of Amboseli, with Mount Kilimanjaro as your backdrop,

and the wild drama of the Masai Mara, timed to coincide with  the Great Migration at its most explosive.

This photo safari is carefully designed for photographers, combining exceptional

wildlife access, expert guidance and complete flexibility.  With a small group, just 4 guests,

you'll enjoy ample space, personalised tuition and the freedom to stay longer at sightings until the perfect moment unfolds, - no rushing just focused, thoughtful photography .

Amboseli National Park - "where giants walk beneath the mountain". Start your safari in the legendary Amboseli, known for its majestic elephant herds and sweeping views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Capture iconic scenes of elephants walking through dust and wetlands, often backdropped by Mount Kilimanjaro.

Masai Mara, Olare Motorogi Conservancy - one of the most wildlife-rich private conservancies in the Mara ecosystem, where exclusive access means you can photograph wildlife off-road, without vehicle congestion.  Unlike the national reserve at this busy time of year, Olare Motorogi offers a quieter, more respectful photographic experience, ideal for waiting patiently at a scene, tracking a subject for hours, or composing clean, clutter-free frames.

Nairobi Tented Camp - one night

Our safari starts from the moment we arrive in Kenya with our first night at Porini tented camp in Nairobi National Park, where we will awaken the following morning to birdcalls, and possibly sightings of bush babies and forest monkeys, in a forest retreat just outside urban life.

The park is approximately 30 minutes drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and just 10 minutes drive from Wilson Airport where we will be flying to Amboseli from the following morning.  â€‹

Porini Amboseli Camp - three nights

Located in the Selenkay Conservancy, Porini Amboseli offers a rare opportunity to photograph

wildlife in golden light with Kilimanjaro as your backdrop.

The Selenkay Conservancy is 10 miles north of Amboseli National Park and is an unspoilt wilderness with a limited number of visitors allowed. There are several waterholes in the conservancy which are visited by elephant families in the evening, providing a perfect opportunity to see and photograph these beautiful animals closeup with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.  Other wildlife includes lions, leopard,  cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, lesser kudu, gerenuk, jackals and various smaller carnivores. It's also a birdwatcher's paradise.  Night drives allow sightings of nocturnal creatures like white-tailed mongoose, servals and bat eared foxes.

We will also have access to the Amboseli National Park.

Porini Lion Camp -five nights

Located in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy in the greater Masai Mara ecosystem and bordering the Masai Mara Main Reserve.

The conservancy is over 33000 acres in size and is known for having some of Kenya's most spectacular scenery and remarkably high concentrations of wildlife, particularly big cats.  With just a handful of eco-friendly camps operating in the conservancy guest numbers are strictly limited, - meaning uninterrupted game viewing and a more intimate personalised safari.

Olare Motorogi is a photographer's paradise, offering ideal conditions for wildlife photography - abundance of wildlife, uncrowded sightings, off road access, extended time with wildlife and wide open savannahs.

We will also have access to the Main Masai Mara reserve with the possibility of photographing a migration river crossing.
